OSNIVANJE EVROPSKE KOMPANIJE

Apstrakt

The article deals with four different methods of setting up a European company, according to the proposal for a Council Regulation on the Statute for a European Company. These methods are merger, formation of the joint holding company, formation of the joint subsidiary and transformation of public limited company into European company. The author points at the main difficulties in founding methods, and concludes that importance of national identity of companies involved in setting up a European company, is not the right way of strengthening the EU single market.
