Abstract

Pointing out the importance and significance of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Energy Community of South-Eastern Europe, the author of the article wants the wider legal public to become familiar with the content of this Treaty, as well as with the relevant acquis communautaire, i.e. primary and secondary sources of European law (Treaties on the Establishing of the European Communities, agreements between the European Community and third countries and international organizations, regulations, instructions, decisions, recommendations and opinions), which are recognized by this Agreement as applicable law in all member states of the Energy Community from the date of entry into force of the Agreement, i.e. from July 1, 2006. Member States are only exceptionally allowed to, to fully implement these regulations, adopt implementing acts or take other appropriate measures, either general or individual, which will ensure the fulfilment of the obligations from this Agreement.
