Instructions to the authors
Revija za evropsko pravo publishes papers written in Serbian (Latin script), English, German and French.
Authors submitting contributions to the "Articles" section are required to include a summary in the language of paper of no more than 250 words at the beginning of the contribution, accompanied by five to ten keywords. At the end of the paper, the author(s) must provide a summary of up to one-tenth of the paper’s length and five to ten keywords in English. Papers written in foreign languages must have abstract in the language of the paper no longer than 250 words and 5 to 10 keywords; and at the end of the paper summary up to 1/10 of the length of the paper and 5 to 10 keywords in English.
Review of European law publishes articles that are not previously published in other journals or publications. Submitted articles undergo double-blind peer review. The author of the accepted or published article may publish the same paper in another publication only after obtaining permission from the Editorial Board of the Review and with clearly acknowledging that the article was previously published in the Review.</ p>
Technical details
Articles should be written in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx format), in Latin script, font Times New Roman, size 11 pt (main text) and 9pt (footnotes). Line spacing should be 1.5. Paper size should be A4 and the margins 3.5 cm (left), 3 cm (right). The page size should be A4 – the left and right margins should be 3 cm, the top and bottom 2.5 cm. No hyphenation is allowed.
The title of the article is written in the centre, in capital letters. The headings within the article must have the following format.
The first level of the title - in the centre; numbering: Roman numeral (e.g. I, II, III, etc.); the first letter is a capital letter, the rest is a lower-case letter.
Second level of the title - in the centre; numbering: Arabic numerals with a full stop (e.g. 1., 2., 3. etc.); the first letter is a capital letter, the rest a lower-case letter.
Third level of the title - in the centre; in italics; numbering: lower case letter of the alphabet with closed brackets (e.g. a), b), v), etc.); the first letter is a capital letter, the rest is a lower-case letter.
The fourth level of the title - in the centre; numbering: Arabic numerals with closed brackets (e.g. 1), 2), 3), etc.); the first letter is a capital letter, the rest is a lower-case letter.

In addition to the surname and first name, the author(s) should include their title, the name and location of the institution where they are employed, their e-mail address and ORCiD.

List of all references should be provided at the end of the paper divided into sections literature (books and articles), internet sources, legal sources and case law. References should be sorted alphabetically and should not be numbered. Font size should be 11pt. References should be in their original language.
Tables and figures should be numbered (for example, Table 1 – Name of the table).
If the author uses abbreviations for the names of institutions and bodies, he/she should introduce them upon the first full name mention of the said institution/body and should apply them consistently throughout the entire text.
Citation rules
1. Books
Initial, surname, book title (in italics), place and year of publication, page without pagination marks such as p. or str.
Example: R. Vukadinović, Pravo Evropske unije, Kragujevac 2002, 22.
If a book has several editions or several places of publication, the authors should indicate the number of the edition and, regarding the place of publication, the first two separated by a hyphen (-).
Example: K. Larenz, Methodenlehre der Rechtwissenschaft, 6. Aufl., Berlin-Heidelberg 1991, 27.
2. Journal articles
Initial, surname, title of the article, title of the journal (italic), volume, year, number and page number. If the title of the journal is too long, authors citing the full name for the first time can put the abbreviation of the journal in brackets and use it in the rest of the text.

3. Book chapters/papers form collections of papers
Initial, surname, title of the article (under quotation marks), title of the publication (italics), names of the editors, publisher (not mandatory), place and publication year, and page number.

If a collection of papers has several places of publication, only the first two are given, separated by a hyphen (-).
4. Electronic sources
Initial(s), surname of the author (or name of the institution), title of the text (web page), URL, date of visit.
Example 1: K. Boele-Woelki, Internet und IPR: Wo geht jemand ins Netz?, http://cui.unige.ch/~billard/ipilec/BOELED 1.HTM, last visited: 14. 2. 2002.

If the website does not contain the author's name, the title of the text, the URL and the date of the visit should be given.
Example: A Brief History of Internet, http://www.isoc.org/internet/history/brief.shtml, last visited: 15. 10. 2005.
5. Legislative sources
Name of the legal act, name of the official publication (Official Journal), number and year of publication. If the cited source is to be used in the rest of the text, the authors can put the abbreviation of the law in brackets the first time the full name is mentioned.
Example:
Zakon o parničnim postupku (ZPP), Službeni glasnik RS, br. 125/04.
Gesetz betreffend die Gesellschaften mit beschränkter Haftung (GmbHG), G. v. 20.04.1892 RGBl. S. 477; zuletzt geändert durch Artikel 9 G. v. 22.02.2023 BGBl.
6. Case law
Type of the court decision, name of the court, number of the decision, date, where it was published, page number.
Example: Rešenje Okružnog suda u Beogradu, Gž. 1782/04, Izbor sudske prakse, 2/2005, 62.
If the decision is not published, this should be noted.
Example: Rešenje Okružnog suda u Beogradu, Gž. 1782/04, neobjavljeno.
Case law of the Court of Justice of European Union (CJEU) should be cited in the following manner: case number, party names, year of publication (in square brackets), name of the case law collection and page number.
Example: predmet 6/64 Costa v ENEL [1964] ECR 585.
Ako se citira i tačka (stav) iz presude, dodati: tač. 12.
Common rules for books, journals and collections of papers
If there is more than one author, their names should be separated by comma.
Example:

If the source has more than three authors, only the first name is cited and then the abbreviation et al. is added.
Example:
T. Varadi et al., Međunarodno privatno pravo, Beograd 2008, 75
If only one text by a particular author is cited, op. cit. and the page number of the text are given after the first letter of the author's first name and surname when this text is cited repeatedly.
Example: R. Vukadinović, op. cit, 55.
If several works (either books or articles) by the same author are cited, and the name of each of these works has already been mentioned in full, after the first letter of the author's name and surname, the year of publication of the book or article (or the number of the note) is placed in parentheses in which the work is first listed), followed by the page number.
Example: R. Vukadinović (2002), 25.
If in the same year the author has several published works that are cited, the Latin letters a, b, c, etc. are added to the year, followed by the page number.
Example: R. Vukadinović (2002a), 17.
When citing specified pages, they are separated by a hyphen, and when citing several pages that are not specified exactly, “etc." is added after the number of the first page.
Example 1: R. Vukadinović, Pravo Evropske unije, Kragujevac 2002, 21-25.
Example 2: V. Vlašković, Pravo na zaštitu od nasilja u porodici, Anali Pravnog fakulteta u Beogradu (Anali PBF) LVII(2009)1, 249 i dalje.
If the same work and the same page as in the previous footnote are cited (consecutively), only the abbreviation Ibid is used. If the text of the work mentioned in the previous footnote, which is on a different page, is cited, after, Ibid. the page number is indicated.
Example: Ibid., 55.
For „See“ use „See“, for "Compare" use the abbreviation "cf."
